A Few Good Men

Steven is very blessed to have wonderful, Godly men in his life. His daddy is his hero (just like his bib says). He gets so excited when Charlton gets home from work. He's usually in his highchair when Charlton pulls up in the driveway and Steven watches him through the breakfast room windows until he gets to the back door. When Charlton comes in, he gives him a big smile, squeals, and reaches for a hug from Daddy. It never gets old to watch!

Pappaw (my dad) was on vacation for the last week and came over a couple of days to spend some time with Steven. They are so cute together. I think he's excited to finally have a (grand)son to play with. I don't have a recent picture of Popo (Charlton's dad and Steven's namesake), so I'm going to post an old picture of him with Steven (3.5 months) and of the awesome addition to Steven's room he made. The shelf is beautiful and perfect, thank you, Popo!

6 Month Portraits

We had Steven's 6 month portraits taken on Saturday, March 10 at Portrait Innovations (http://www.portraitinnovations.com). Unfortunately, the CD we could get only has the pictures as read-only files; they will look distorted if you try to print or enlarge them- they are just for your viewing pleasure. Here are our favorites.

Day Trip

Steven and I took a day trip with my mom to College Station last Wednesday. My sister (aka Aunt Lindsay) was on Spring Break so it seemed like the perfect excuse to visit. Despite torrential downpour, we had a wonderful time.

Double Whammy

Today has not gone as smoothly on the teething front- Poor Baby! You can see the two little culprits pretty well in this pic. The first part of the day has been rough but he finally fell asleep for 30 minutes before lunch and woke up happy and hungry. I am glad that I already had a girl's night planned for tonight- I'm gonna need it!

6 Months Old!

Steven turned 6 months old on Friday. I can't believe how much he has grown- he's not a little baby anymore. His 6 mo. stats at the doctor were: 16 pounds 4 oz. and 26 inches. He is doing well with solid food so we got the Ok to start meats and "stage 2" baby food- he's gonna love that! Steven's food repertoire already includes sweet potatoes, carrots, squash, green beans, peas, peaches, pears, bananas, prunes, and applesauce. He loves it all. Although, I do have to mix the greens and prunes with rice cereal for him to like it, otherwise he gags very dramatically (I wonder who he inherited that from). =)We met our friends from my women's bible study at the neighborhood playground on Thursday. Steven loves the swings so we went back with Ashley and Jackson on Friday. That time I had the good sense to take my camera for his offical 6 month birthday!
We got a surprise last week when Steven's first tooth surfaced on Friday. He also just started making raspberry sounds which is pretty funny with all the drool (well, I think it's funny and cute, Charlton thought this next picture was kind of gross). Then today, his second tooth popped though too! So, soon we'll have a picture of him with two bottom teeth. He's been a champ and the teeth haven't caused him to wake during the night (thank goodness!) but have been sore day during the day making naps harder to take.
